No time limit

Think about what it is that you want to achieve with your mobility.

To achieve this goal, what format, location and dates of mobility are appropriate?

STEP 3

Plan the mobility

No time limit

Develop a daily plan for your mobility. Make cooperation agreements with the EU partners, ask them to send you the necessary invitations.

If you do not have any professional contacts in the EU, consider using our help (see below under “Matchmaking with potential EU partners”).

STEP 4

Register on the Goethe Application Portal. Fill out and submit the application there.

For guidance, use our video or text tutorials (see “Application submission instructions” below).

Up to 5 weeks

Your application will go through several stages: formal criteria evaluation, and then expert evaluation by three independent jury members from your sector.

STEP 6

Agree on the contract and sign it.

Up to 3 weeks

If your application is approved by the jury, you will be contacted by the programme manager to finalise the details of the mobility and to sign the contract.

STEP 7

Start your mobility

3 to 90 days

Soon after signing the contract, you can start your mobility! We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the report forms (see the “Documents” section) before you begin your trip.

During your mobility, make notes of key events and insights, and take photos.

STEP 8

Share your mobility results

2 weeks and 6 months upon return

Participants are expected to share their experience with their professional communities and submit a report within 2 weeks of their return. The final report is submitted 6 months after the trip.

FAQ

Questions and answers regarding the MOST programme

What could a mobility trip aim to achieve?
Your mobility trip should contribute to professional growth and networking with colleagues in the EU. Mobility should be proactive. For example, speaking at an event, not just attending one.
Is there a budgeted limit for MOST-supported mobilities?
All expenses planned in the mobility budget must be transparent and justified. There are no restrictions on specific amounts.
Is visa assistance provided?
The project team does its best to support participants of the programme in obtaining visas for EU countries, but the final decision on issuing a visa lies with the consular departments of the respective countries.
Does the MOST programme offer advice on how to prepare an application?
The project team organises monthly online Q&A sessions offering an opportunity to ask questions in a group format. The dates and times of the sessions are announced in advance on the programme’s website and social media channels. You can also send your questions by email to infomobility@goethe.de.

What if I don’t have any contacts in the EU?

We can help you by providing several ideas and suggestions for your mobility, including potential opportunities with EU partners.
